SCI receives recognition at Colima’s 9th National Conference of Local Urban Observatories

Well done, team!

Our CEO, Jane McRae, and our Youth Led Development Officer, Eric Brown, are participating in Colima’s 9th National Conference of Local Urban Observatories. Sogen Moodley, our city member representative from Durban, South Africa has also joined to discuss the importance of city-to-city learning.

José Ignacio Peralta Sánchez, the city’s mayor, spoke about the need for collaboration and exchange between cities in the municipality of Colima, Mexico, and internationally.

The work of SCI was recognized in this capacity, and also through our international internship program.

Sustainable Cities CEO Jane McRae received a plaque of recognition for our contribution to Colima’s sustainable urban development. Eric Brown received recognition for the Sustainable Cities International Internship Program and the work that has been accomplished at IPCo (El Instituto de Planeación para el Municipio de Colima) due to these internships.
